Concept of Cell-Iron:
The Iron content and uptake of iron from feeds can vary due to low soil levels and relative poor availability of iron during digestion, ranging from 15-18% from grains and hays.
Cell-Iron is formulated from the three forms of iron to assist uptake, with the major source provided by iron protein chelate. The Cell-Iron supplets are dust-free, do not sift out or sludge in the feeder and are well accepted by horses. Cell-Iron also contains essential iron co-vitamins of folic acid, and Vitamin B12 as well as protected Vitamin C to facilitate iron uptake.
Directions for Use:
Mix the measured amount of Cell-Iron into the top one third of the feed just prior to feeding, preferably in the major evening feed. Avoid mixing Cell-Iron into feeds in contact with liquid or powdered Vitamin E supplements. Mix these supplements into another feed, or ensure that iron and vitamin E are mixed in separate areas in the feed mix. Cell-Iron is formulated as an additional source of irin to that contained in other supplements, or ready-mixed feeds.
Dosage & Administration:
Each level scoopful (large end) of Cell-Iron provides 30g of Supplets. The daily dose rate is relative to the stage of training and the amount of supplementary iron already added to the diet.
As a top-up of prepared feeds: Cell-Iron can also be used to make up the shortfall of iron and vitamin co-factors where the full recommended amount of a prepared or ready-mixed feed is not fed.
