PEPTOSYL 5L
Peptosyl is a rapid, effective non-antibiotic treatment for dietary and non-infectious diarrhoea in horses and foals. Most equine gut disturbances relate to incorrect management of diet, nutrition or stress, rather than infection. Peptosyl can be used in most cases of gastrointesinal disturbances with absolute safety. It will not mask any serious veterinary problems, but will rapidly relieve the majority of gut upsets from dietary or non-infectious causes.
Peptosyl is safe, non-toxic & a first-line defence against digestive disturbances in horses and foals, with a very wide safety margin, and analgesic, antiseptic and antacid actions. Peptosyl's anti-inflammatory properties control the pain associated with gut inflammation and disturbance.
Contains:
Bismuth sub-salicylate & Sodium bentonite
Directions for Use:
- Where possible withhold food for 24 hours.
- Use Peptosyl at a dose rate of 0.25 to 0.5mL per kg of bodyweight daily (ie 7.5ml to 15ml per 25kg) to control the diarrhoea.
- Then give a bland, fibrous diet for several days.
Peptosyl can also be used in combination with antibiotics, to control diarrhoea of infectious cause.
Peptosyl is available in 200ml, 1 litre and 5 litre sizes.
