Electropaste provides a concentrated source of B-group vitamins, electrolytes and anti-oxidants to rapidly replenish body stores depleted by hard exercise or transport.
Electropaste is specifically designed for hard working performance horses that require immediate replacement of these nutrients for rapid recovery or sustained endurance exercise.
Both exercise and transport sap energy due to sweat loss, dehydration and muscle exertion. Recovery requires the horse to eat and drink to replenish body stores of fluids, salts and other nutrients. However, tired dehydrated horses often have a poor appetite and a decreased thirst response making them reluctant to eat and drink. This leads to further dehydration and prolonged recovery.
Electro Paste was developed to provide a portable but potent source of the nutrients needed to recharge B-vitamin, antioxidant, salt and body fluid levels.
- B-Group vitamins are intimately involved in energy metabolism - the conversion of food into fuel. They also stimulate the appetite and are involved in blood formation. Unfortunately most B-Vitamins are not stored in the body and need to be replenished daily. Electro Paste contains a concentrated source of a wide range of B-Complex Vitamins - B1, B2, B6, B12, Niacin and Folic Acid - to help stimulate the appetite and replenish vitamin and energy stores after exercise.
- Electrolytes are salts that maintain the body's fluid balance, transmit nerve impulses and assist muscle function. Large amounts of electrolytes and fluid are lost in sweat during training, competition and travelling. This can lead to fatigue, dehydration, muscle disorders, nervousness and loss of appetite. When large amounts of both fluid and salts are lost from the body by sweating the normal thirst stimulus to drink can be diminished. This can lead to ongoing dehydration and fatigue, reduced appetite and poor recovery

Electro Paste contains the five major electrolytes - sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium and calcium. Administering salts as a concentrated oral paste stimulates the thirst response, encouraging drinking to replace lost body fluids. This in turn stimulates the appetite and hastens recovery. Electro Paste can also be used before exercise or long distance transport to increase body fluid reserves.
