BC5 amino acids
Branched Chain Amino Acids for horses
BC5 amino acids is a feed supplement designed for horses in intense training as a supplementary energy source and to assist in recovery following intense exercise.
Amino acids are the building blocks of all protein and are therefore essential for the synthesis of structural proteins, enzymes, some hormones and neurotransmitters as well as being essential in many metabolic pathways that affect exercise metabolism. Following water, protein is the most plentiful substance in the body and roughly one third of horse protein is found in muscle.
The BIG 5
1. L-Leucine:
2. L-Isoleucine:
3. L-Valine:
4. L-Glutamine:
5. L-Carnitine:
While all proteins are not the same, they are manufactured using different combinations of the same 22 amino acids.
INDICATIONS:
BC-5 contains a combination of 5 integral amino acids involved in normal protein synthesis and energy production. It is indicated for use in athletic horses to provide a supplementary source of essential nutrients which are used in large amounts during intense exercise.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Adult Horses 450-550 kg:
Administer one full syringe (55g) orally prior to exercise to assist recovery from strenuous work. BC-5 may also be administered both pre and post exercise (1 tube on each occasion). Post exercise administration should occur as soon as practicable after hard exercise (preferably within 30 minutes).
ACTIVE CONSTITUENTS (per g):
L-Leucine 195.1mg;
L-Isoleucine 143.3mg;
L-Valine 143.3mg;
L-Glutamine 11.3mg;
